Wild Canada
From the size of the habitats to the 12-inch-wide pawprint of the polar bears, Wild Canada is BIG. And in Wild Canada, even the smallest animals make a BIG impact. Visitors of all ages are sure to have BIG feelings when entering into their world.
We welcome you to take a journey through seven of Canada’s ecological zones, celebrating the wonder and diversity of a world where people, animals, and the land are connected.
Locked Zoo: Polar Pursuit (18+)
Get ready to embark on an epic adventure at Locked Zoo! This exhilarating two-hour escape game will take you on a wild journey through the zoo after hours. With clues hidden around the zoo including Arctic habitats and icy landscapes, you’ll need keen observation and quick thinking to navigate the challenges.
Sunday Safari Brunch
A unique Calgary brunch experience in the heart of Destination Africa. You can enjoy both gourmet and comfort breakfast foods, including a free-flowing chocolate fountain with fresh fruit, eggs benedict with Canadian bacon, a Belgian waffle bar, cooked to order omelettes, and much more.

What you need to know
Early Zone Closure, Wild Canada (See Post for Dates)
Wild Canada will close early on the following dates to accommodate set up for the Wild After Hours: Polar Bears event (18+). The last entry to the zone will be 4:00 p.m.

Building Closure, Penguin Plunge: February 20 to May 16
Penguin Plunge will be closed from February 20 through to May 16, 2024, while we complete upgrades to the building’s mechanical systems to ensure the building is in tip-top shape for the four species that call it home. Penguins will be viewable outdoors only* during this time (*weather permitting). Thank you for your understanding.
