Grand Opening - November 19, 2009

The ENMAX Conservatory was officially opened on November 19, 2009. The Honourable Cindy Ady, Minister of Tourism, brought greetings from the provincial government to one of the province’s top tourist attractions, and Mayor David Bronconnier spoke on behalf of The City of Calgary about this new and exciting addition to the city’s landscape. Gary Holden, President and CEO of ENMAX Corporation and Clement Lanthier, President and CEO of the Calgary Zoo, spoke about their partnership and visions for the future. Afterwards, a garland, made by two zoo volunteers, was cut, signalling the official opening of the conservatory.
